I don’t know what the average age is for babies to figure out how to plug their own pacifiers in, but Isaac has it down.
Just a few minutes ago, I heard him squirming, which is a sign that he might be waking up. I sat and contemplated whether I wanted to go check because if I do and he’s not asleep, it wakes him up. However, if he is awake and I go in, I can plug the paci in before he actually wakes all the way up and it puts him right back to sleep. So, as I was contemplating it, I heard the faint voice of chatty cathy Isaac, which meant he was awake. By the time I stood up from the computer and walked in there, he’d plugged his paci back in by himself and fallen back to sleep. Probably 5 seconds or so.
He did the same thing the other morning when I was already awake and he was still out. I peaked in because I’d heard him talking only to find he’d gotten his paci from at least a foot away (I’d seen where it was earlier), plugged it back in, and fallen back asleep.
I freakin love my kid.
