I’ve had a dandy holiday so far. The Thanksgiving time was nice. I got to see all of my parents and my sister and niece and many family members. I believe a fun time was had by all.

After I got off work on Wednesday (technically Thursday morning), around 4:00 AM as we were on our way to my folks, we saw an accident. We pulled over to help. The guy should’ve died, as he was airborn for 2 lanes and landed upside down on a cement highway divider. Instead he walked away with a tiny cut on his pinky. He said he wished he had died. I’ve had my moments with that over the last couple of days, but in the end, even if you get hit on the head with a giant reality check, if you don’t want to see it, you just won’t.

Saturday night I threw out my back. I’m not quite sure how *far* I threw it, as I’m pretty much fine now. Some occasionally stretchy feelings, but that’s about it. I spent the evening on the floor with a heating pad and some Motrin flowing through my veins. Sunday, I was functional. Today, fine. For a few hours it was pretty bizarre not being able to stand. I was stuck in a chair for about 20 minutes, but it freaked me out, so I eventually rolled my way out. I never thought being stuck in a chair would freak me out. Actually, who would ever think of a scenario like that? I never thought of being stuck in a chair period. Anywho, I’m upright now and walking and bending. Hurray for the old.

Today I’m going in early for my orientation at the Sealab. I’m becoming a full fledged employee. They like me. They really like me.

We’re signing another 6 month lease. The old reason that we wanted to move for hasn’t really turned out to be as annoying as we thought. The giant night club. Mostly it has just provided me with fleeting moments of entertainment. When I come home at 3:00 or 4:00 am and see a few dozen cars sprinkled in the parking lot. People who got arrested or were too drunk to drive or went home with Captain Bought Me 6 Drinks. I usually wonder how weird they’ll feel when they go to pick up their vehicles in the daylight. It makes me giggle.

A big congrats to Andrew who tied the knot. I’m very happy for you. :)

Ummm. The end.
